December: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

December: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

Hello!

Welcome to December! If you’re like me you’re probably thinking “Wow! this year went by really quick!” But then again, I think I have that thought every December! LOL!

So as you all know this will be the last instalment of the 2015 Monthly Calendar Project! OMG!! I have mixed feelings about this.

On one hand I’m happy I was able to set myself a goal and keep to it consistently through some of the most difficult periods of my life like family drama, work pressure and battling health issues (Oh yeah, apart from overcoming and having a successful treatment for a long drawn out health problem earlier this year, I also recently had my 1st and hopefully last severe allergic reaction! Might blog on that later).

On the other hand I’m thinking what shall I do next year?! Do I start another Calendar Project? Or do something completely new and different? Questions that require much thinking and consideration. I would like to know what you all think so please feel free to write me a comment or suggestion.

So on to this month’s quote

Be yourself because an original is worth more than a copy

WIP3

I wish I knew who said this because I’d give them a high-five because it is so true! So many of us are too afraid to be ourselves. We fear we will not be accepted by society/certain people so we feel pressured to act a certain way, buy certain things, dress a certain way etc just to keep up appearances.

WIP2

God created everyone as a unique individual even identical twins have differences! If his intention was for everyone to copy everyone else then he’d have created a race of zombies not human beings with different cultures, fingerprints, skin tones, hair textures, mannerisms, likes, dislikes, even down to the nitty-gritty of your DNA cellular composition.

Finished Close up

Think of how boring life would be if we were all the same. There would be nothing new to learn. Each and everyone of us bring something unique to this world that the world needs. Hiding your true self because you are trying to fit in is doing yourself and all of humanity a great disservice.

I also think it will be also quite exhausting because every morning you wake up you put on a mask and an act and go out into the world trying to be something you’re not. You keep your talents buried deep and wonder why you are unhappy & dis-satisfied maybe being a banker, for instance , when God intended for you to be baker!

You are the only and truest version of ‘YOU’ that ever existed. When you allow your true self to be seen by the world then you’ll shine so bright that you’ll attract those people and opportunities that are genuinely meant to be in your life. Everything else that weighing you down because they were attracted to your mask will fall away because they were never meant to be part of your life in the first place.

OK rant over! LOL! I do hope this is helpful to someone out there. I’m very interested in hearing the meaning you draw from this quote.

That’s it folks! The 2015 Monthly Calendar Project is officially done! Thanks to everyone of you who followed me on this creative journey. I’m so grateful for your support and encouragement.
