How I got kicked out of my studio

How I got kicked out of my studio

Hello!

It’s been so long since my last post. So much has happened globally, locally and on a personal level. This is just an update on what I’ve been up to in the last 9 months and boy oh boy it’s been quite a rollercoaster ride.

So I relocated from Ikorodu back to my studio in Ikoyi at the beginning of April and resumed life and work in my new reality.  I had moved to Ikorodu in November 2016 for 4 months following the death of my father, to support my Mum through her mourning period. My loyal clients (for whom I am forever grateful) stuck by me  through this transition and continued bringing me their business. God bless you all ever so richly.

As I felt more settled in familiar surroundings back in Ikoyi, I started making plans on achieving my goals for the rest of 2017. Continue reading

A Tale of Cake Toppers – 2016 in review

A Tale of Cake Toppers – 2016 in review

Happy 2017!

It’s a New Year and time to start afresh. So I’ve decided to be better at blogging having not had time to do so for most of 2016.

Speaking of 2016, it was the year of the unexpected for me. So many things that I’d never imagined from global occurrences like BREXIT, Trump winning, celebrities exiting the earth to monumental changes in my career and personal life. In many ways all these signalled a change to life as I knew it charting a course into the great unknown.

One such unexpected change however that I’m grateful for is how I stumbled into becoming a cake topper designer. At the beginning of 2016 I had written down collaboration as one of my Thoughts Paper Scissors goals for the year but I had no idea what form that was going to take. Continue reading

Visit to The Arrows of God Orphanage

Hello!

Hope you’ve all been doing great? I know I’ve been absent from the blog scene for a while and I apologise for my silence so far this year.

I consciously decided to take some time out to re-evaluate my plans for this blog. As a result it has made me realise I need to acquire some new skills and knowledge to achieve my set plans, which is what I’ve been doing.

Soon I will reveal to you what I’ve been exploring and I hope you will still follow and support me on this journey as you always have, I certainly don’t take any of your love and support for granted.

In the spirit of #FlashbackFriday I’d like to share my experience from my visit to Arrows of God Orphanage, Lagos back in October 2015.

I never got round to posting this back then as I was down the day after the visit, which extended into the next couple of weeks, with a pretty severe allergic reaction that I won’t wish on anyone! Ever!

We’re in the press! The Luxury Reporter magazine

Hello beautiful people,

Long time no blog 🙂 It’s been quite an eventful year for me so far. I’ve been so busy with other aspects of my life that I’ve not had the headspace to start blogging as consistently as I should. But soon all that will change..can I get an AMEN!

So while I was away from the blog, if you follow me on social media you would have seen my  post on creating paper decorations for Candy Cart NG. My props were used to decorate her candy cart for the 76th Birthday Party of Chief Rasaq Okoya, and for those of you that don’t know who that is he’s a billionaire Nigerian Industrialist (Wikipedia’s words). Well it so happens that post was picked up by Funke Osae-Brown the Editor of The Luxury Reporter and voila here’s yours truly featured in the pages of the February Edition of the online magazine!

December: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

December: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

Hello!

Welcome to December! If you’re like me you’re probably thinking “Wow! this year went by really quick!” But then again, I think I have that thought every December! LOL!

So as you all know this will be the last instalment of the 2015 Monthly Calendar Project! OMG!! I have mixed feelings about this.

On one hand I’m happy I was able to set myself a goal and keep to it consistently through some of the most difficult periods of my life like family drama, work pressure and battling health issues (Oh yeah, apart from overcoming and having a successful treatment for a long drawn out health problem earlier this year, I also recently had my 1st and hopefully last severe allergic reaction! Might blog on that later).
