Merry Christmas Everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas celebration, with lots of love and memories to cherish. I know everyone around the world has their own set of traditions when it comes to Christmas and my family is no different.
My Christmas was thoroughly packed with activities, never mind the fact that I celebrated it at my parents house, my dad usually insists that my cousins and their children come over as well so this year we had about 12 children and maybe 19 adults!! My sisters and I had the honour or roasting the turkeys but surprisingly this year everyone (including the guys) chipped in with preparing the food. I guess that’s part of what makes Christmas special, family coming together.
One family tradition that we didn’t follow through on was gift-giving. We’ve had such an eventful December that we sort of silently agreed to buy presents for only the children and not have a gift exchange amongst the adults. Which brings me to my paper craft project for this Christmas.
Aside from giving presents to the children, I created Christmas favour boxes for them which featured cut out silhouettes of the 3 wise men carrying their gold, frankincense and myrrh, following the star to the stable where baby Jesus was born. I made them in 4 colours – red, green, silver and blue card, topped with gold Merry Christmas card stars and filled them with chocolates.
I dare say the treats were decimated almost immediately as expected 🙂 but luckily I got some great pictures courtesy of my talented sister Folake of Four Points Media and my handy little camera.
Enjoy the Christmas Season and may the joy of Christmas remain with you through out the rest of 2013.
Happy New Year in Advance and see you guys in 2014!
