About

Welcome to Thoughts Paper Scissors!

I’m Morenike Gbadamosi — artist, graphic designer, and proud paper craft enthusiast from the buzzing city of Lagos, Nigeria.

Thoughts Paper Scissors began as a personal escape — a humble blog I started while working as a weary Art Director in the high-pressure world of advertising. Burnt out but craving creativity in a different form, I turned to paper crafts to rekindle my spark and scratch that creative itch I couldn’t ignore.

With no formal training and just a deep passion for handmade art, I taught myself the craft and began documenting my journey online. What started as a way to beat procrastination and complete personal projects unexpectedly caught the eye of curious readers and fellow creatives.

Before I knew it, Thoughts Paper Scissors grew from a creative outlet into a thriving side hustle — and eventually, a full-time solopreneur venture when I left advertising in 2016. Since then, I’ve had the joy of creating bespoke paper pieces for dignitaries, cake designers, and local brands.

Now, nearly a decade in — after several twists, turns, triumphs, and hard-won lessons — I’m beginning a bold new chapter.

My mission? To empower you with the skills, confidence, and inspiration to dive into your own paper craft side hustle. Whether you’re a budding crafter, a cake artist looking to elevate your work, or simply a creative soul in search of inspiration, you’re in the right place.

Welcome aboard — let’s make something beautiful together. It’s going to be a fun, crafty ride!
