I guess you know the drill already, yes I’m back with another post from my monthly calendar project. The whole reason this began was to get me practising the art of paper cutting instead of procrastinating about it and also to create content for my blog and get feedback from all you lovely people.

Hello and welcome to June!

I find it amazing that we’re already half way through the year. So much has happened and there’s still so much more to come.

So going straight into this month’s quote, it’s a proverb from the shores of Japan

Fall seven times and stand up eight

In other words, stay resilient regardless of what life throws at you. Have that determination to never give up and to keep on going despite any setbacks you may face.

Thinking on this, my mind went to my country Nigeria. As a people we face several challenges across board. Yet there’s a dogged determination and resilience in most, if not all Nigerians, to find a way through, around, over and under our issues and keep on striving. May: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

Hello and Welcome to the month of MAY!

It’s also worker’s day which is an added bonus 🙂 I hope you guys are making the most of your day off.

So straight into today’s order of business. I promise this post won’t be as long as last month’s (hehehe). The quote for this month is

Always be kinder than you feel

This quote actually made me think about my interactions with people. There is a saying that when you are gone from this earth people don’t remember what you owned but they remember how you made them feel. I believe everyone wants to leave a positive mark on the world so my interpretation of this quote was therefore to be quite cheerful with bright colours. I also included gift boxes in the quote because kindness is indeed giving the gift of your good self to another person.
