December: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

December: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

Hello!

Welcome to December! If you’re like me you’re probably thinking “Wow! this year went by really quick!” But then again, I think I have that thought every December! LOL!

So as you all know this will be the last instalment of the 2015 Monthly Calendar Project! OMG!! I have mixed feelings about this.

On one hand I’m happy I was able to set myself a goal and keep to it consistently through some of the most difficult periods of my life like family drama, work pressure and battling health issues (Oh yeah, apart from overcoming and having a successful treatment for a long drawn out health problem earlier this year, I also recently had my 1st and hopefully last severe allergic reaction! Might blog on that later).

November: 2015 Calendar Project

November: 2015 Calendar Project

Hello and welcome to November!

Where has the year gone?! It seems just like yesterday I that I made my first paper cut in this series. Yet so much has happened this year too. I can only be thankful for how the year has gone, both the good and the bad because it all works together to shape me as a person.

So the quote for this month is

Go the extra mile. It’s never crowded

I think the quote speaks for itself. Why settle for average and blend in when with just a little extra effort you can be exceptional and stand out?

October : 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

Hello!

Let me start by saying:

Happy Independence Day Nigeria!

For those of you who are not in the know, October 1st is my country’s Independence Day and we’re 55 years young!

October is also my birthday month *whoop! whoop! It’s less than a week away and no I’ve not made any plans *sigh

So I’ll make this brief.

The quote as you may have already guessed is;

You must do the thing you think you cannot do

It was said by Eleanor Roosevelt  and I think it is quite apt because it speaks to where we are as a country and also to me personally.

September: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

September: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

Hello!

Can you believe it’s September already? 2015 is flying by and what a year it has been so far.

So on to the quote for this month is by Napoleon Hill

Don’t wait. The time will never be just right

I decided to do something different with the backing papers for this quote, by using different colours in the negative spaces of the text. I reckon it turned out quite well. And what says time better than a watch/clock, I emphasised the time never being right by having 2 different times depicted.

August: 2015 Monthly Calendar Project

Hello there!

I guess you know the drill already, yes I’m back with another post from my monthly calendar project. The whole reason this began was to get me practising the art of paper cutting instead of procrastinating about it and also to create content for my blog and get feedback from all you lovely people.

So without further delay the quote for this month is by Dan Zadra

Worry is a misuse of imagination

I can definitely attest that what I’ve experienced today alone in the course of getting this blog post out is truly a drama filled practical manifestation of this quote!
